About Us

The St Vincent’s Centre for Applied Medical Research (AMR) is an embodiment of the aim at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney to advance health and medical knowledge to improve patient outcomes. It is through St Vincent’s that clinicians, healthcare professionals and researchers engage in cutting-edge clinical trials and innovative research to integrate laboratory research with clinical practice. Many of our researchers work both in state-of-the-art laboratories and directly with patients.

Located in Darlinghurst on Gadigal and Bidjigal Land, we are strategically and physically connected to the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, Nursing Research Institute, and UNSW St Vincent’s Clinical School. This connection fosters a collaborative environment where ground-breaking discoveries translate rapidly into improved patient care.
