Bio
A/Prof Buscher is the head of the department of intensive care. His research interest is to further explore the critical care of patients with heart and lung transplantation, ventricular assist devices and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). The main focuses here is on blood management of ECMO patients. He is scientific committee member of the international ECMOnet and co-chair of the college special interest group on this topic.
